If you bear with me for about 10 or 15 minutes this morning, I want to talk some about the foundational basics.

Very little commentary this morning, but God’s word speaks plainly to the world.

And let’s talk about the four C’s of the scripture.

The first is conversion.

The term from to turn from sin to a Godly life a change.

And how you think feel and act in your life? It’s a commitment to God and his righteousness.

We must have the right attitude to God for that conversion and Isaiah 55 beginning in verse 7.

He says we read let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return unto the Lord and He will have mercy upon him and to our God for he will abundantly pardon.

And again in Matthew 18 verse 3. He says verily I say unto you except ye be converted and become as Little Children You shall not enter into the kingdom of God Of Heaven.

In Romans 8 verse 6 for to be carnally minded is death. But to be spiritually minded is life and peace because the carnal mind is enmity against God.

For it is not subject to the law of God neither indeed can be so then they that are in the flesh cannot please God, but you are not in the flesh but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you now, if any man have not the spirit of Christ he is none of his.

There are some requirements of conversion in Ezekiel 8 18 verse 31. He says cast away from all your transgressions. What by you have transgressed.

And make a new heart and a new spirit for a while. Will you die o House of Israel?

In Acts 2:38, when asked men and Brethren, what do we need to do Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

In Acts 16 verse 31 he says and they said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house.

And they expect not into him the word of the Lord and the and all and they expect them to him the word of the Lord and all that. We’re in his house and he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes and was baptized he and all he is straight way.

There’s evidence of conversion in your life.

In Luke 22 verse 31 and the Lord said Simon Simon behold Satan has desired to have you that he may sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not and when thou art converted strengthen thy brother.

And in John 13 verse 35 by this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you love one another.

Romans 5 verse 5 and hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is she’d abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which is given unto us.

Did you know that conversion has the interest of the Angels?

And Luke 12 verse 8. He says and I send to you whosoever shall confess me before men him shall the son of man confess before the angels of God.

In Luke 15 verse 7. I say unto you that likewise Joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth more than over ninety nine just persons which need no repentance either what woman having ten pieces of silver if she lose one piece does not light a candle and sweep the house and seek diligently till she find you.

And when she has found it, she called her their friends and neighbors together saying Rejoice with me for I have found the piece which I lost likewise. I say unto you there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth repentance.

after conversion comes courage

the source of that courage in Psalms 27:1. He says the Lord is my light and my salvation.

Whom Shall I Fear the Lord is the strength of my life of whom shall I be afraid these are principles that we live by in second Timothy 1 in 7 for God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind

In Hebrews 13 Verse 6. He says so that we met with good courage say the Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. We called a mind today in this country.

We have very little fear.

Ed will now on being able to worship God freely. There are other countries where that freedom is hard earned each and every day.

They’re examples that we have those with courage in Peter said in Acts 5:29 and then Peter and other Apostles answered and said we ought to obey God rather than men. We may be called upon to make that statement ourselves one day in this world.

Paul said in Acts 2113 Paul and I should instead what mean you to weep and break my heart. Well, I’m ready not to be bound on me, but also to die Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

Paul continually puts God’s way above his life.

The scriptures are full of examples of courage and faith in the Lord in Samuel. We see David to fight Goliath when he said to Saul let no man’s heart fail because of him the servant will go and fight with the philistine.

or Daniel in the fiery power furnish in Daniel 3 Verse 18 in confronting King Nebuchadnezzar

Vietnam no King that we will not serve thy God’s nor worship the golden him and I worship the golden image which thou has set up.

Paul in Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

After conversion and courage comes contentment.

Are you content in your life not to be confused with complacency?

The attitude of commitment a contentment Paul said in Philippians 4 verse 11. Not that I speak in respect of want for I have learned in whatsoever State. I am therewith to be content. That’s an attitude that we need to haul relish.

And Hebrews 13 Verse 5. He says let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have for he has said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

We need to live with that principle in our lives that we were never going to be forsaken by God.

Contentment is linked with godliness in 1st Timothy 6 verse 6. He says but godliness with contentment is great name for we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out and having food and raiment. Let us be therewith content.

You’re my age. I think back on all the people that I have known in my life some some very prominent people and very great people.

But today they’ve been forgotten. There’s probably not by dozen people still living that even remember their life.

And we may well be that way but God is always going to remember us.

In Proverbs 15 e16. He says better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure in trouble there with

Psalms 37 16 a little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches.

Good parent contentment is divinely approved in Psalm 73 verse 26 My Flesh and my heart faileth, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever for low. They that are far from the Shall Perish. The I stir straw doll that go a w**** in front of the

but it is good for me to draw near to God. I have put my trust in the Lord God then I may declare all thy works that we put our trust in the Lord God that we draw near to God today in Luke 6 verse 20 he says and he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and said blessed be poor for yours is the kingdom of God blessed. Are ye that hunger now for you shall be?

We feel blessed. Are you that that weep now for you? Shall laugh blessed are you when men shall hate you and when they shall separate you from their company and shall reproach you and cast out your name as evil for the son of man’s sake.

Rejoice in that day and leap for Joy for behold. Your reward is great in heaven for in like manner did their fathers into the property.

There’s also an unhappy State he continues in Luke 6 in verse 24. He said woe unto you that are rich for you have received your consolation.

Woe unto you that are full for you. Shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now for you shall mourn and weep warns you when all men shall speak well of you for so did their fathers to the false prophets?

We are able to be content because of God’s promises.

Lastly the fourth is continue continue to endure and to persist. There are in Acts 1 in 14, these all continued with one Accord in prayer and supplication and in the 14th chapter of ox verse 21, and when they had preached the gospel to that City and had taught many they returned again to lystra and to Iconium and Antioch.

Confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to continue in the faith and that with much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Our responsibility is to continue in that heartfelt. Love of God and for each other.

In Colossians 1 and 22 in the body of his flesh through death to present you. Holy unrwa provable in his sight. If you continue in the faith grounded and settle and be not moved away from the hope of the Gospel which you have heard and which was preached to every creature which is under Heaven wherever I Paul and made a minister we can be moved away from this faith.

Our admonition is to continue in love of God.

In Romans 12 verse 1 he says I beseech you therefore Brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a Living Sacrifice. Holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service and be not conformed according to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove. What is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

If we continue to have an active faith in Christ, Jesus our lord with conversion courage contentment and continuing in God’s wisdom. We were able to receive God’s promise of eternal life without God. There is no reason to be

Without God there is no happiness without God there is no hope.

Without God there is no righteousness without God. There is no justice without God. There is no peace with God man can have all things that persist real value if we contempt and we consider their sacrifice that was made on our behalf. God has freely given us all things in Romans. 8:31. He says what shall we then say?

Say to these things if God be with us who can be against us. He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for all how shall he not with him also, freely give us all things a relationship with God provides man with all he needs in this life and the life to come.

A conversion of sin to a Godly life the courage to Proclaim Christ in your life. The contentment that Christ is all sufficient in this world and the world to come.

The continuation of The Godly life in this world and living as God would have us to live Romans 1:16 says the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.

The lesson is very basic but speaks plainly to the foundation of the Christian Life pleasing to God.

If you are in Christ, you are a new creature.

Committed to a change in your life the courage to stand for God on this the content contentment that comes from God’s promise of the life to come to continue in this world. God has your in God is your savior in this life?

If you have not accepted Christ as your savior, I have fallen Away We Stand ready to assist you as we stand and sing at this time.
