Remembering

The Bible describes remembering as an action. We choose both what things to remember and what things to forget. We must remember all the things God has both done for us and promised to us. We must forget the things of the world that tempt us. Remembering God’s favor will give us the strength for the trials of life. Along the way, however, we must forget the faults of others so God will forget our faults.

What happens when you step off the way and begin to fall away from God? People harden their hearts and begin seeking their own way. This causes many to not be able to understand the truth. However, God can heal our hearts and will welcome our return.

During our lives, our faith will be tested many times. In fact, our faith is almost always under attack by the devil. When our faith weakens we shrink back. Rather than shrinking back, we ought to charge forward. When we trust and obey God he will strengthen us. In order to know how to obey Him, we must study His word. In order to avoid false teaching, we must study His word. Bible study will give us strength and preserve our faith.
